Endoscopy gives us the chance to enter different body cavities and to become therapeutically active there in a minimal-invasive manner. However, this approach implicates exact information about surgical strategies and techniques and also a detailed knowledge of instruments, equipment and their correct use.

We also have to keep in mind, that sucessful endoscopic surgery always is a teamwork (doctors, nurses, OR-helpers).

The “Villach School of Endoscopy” according to these facts intends to spread a practical knowledge, which comes out of more than twenty years of experience, to all professionals that form together the endoscopic team.

Mainly our courses are made for the beginners and the endoscopically less experienced. Beginning with the very basics we try to lead them step by step by deepening their knowledge and skills. In order to do that we made our courses very practical and the number of possible attendants very small.

In addition we also want to give to the more experienced professionals the opportunity to enlarge their knowledge. Therefore we added special courses to our programme, which deal with special issues like endometriosis or the use of laser-technology.

Our course-programme has been established according to the guidelines of the ESGE (European School of Endoscopy). Also there is an intensive contact to other schools in Europe. That’s why our faculty includes a bunch of international experts in this field.
